KELSEY
ALBRIGHT

Hi there, I’m Kelsey. I’m an audio producer who delights in the suffering of others. Just kidding! I’m here because I believe that audio has the unique ability to change minds, open hearts and make the world a better place. I’ve brought to life all kinds of podcasts, but my favorite audio to make is usually about liminal places, journeys that end where they began and people who aren’t afraid to admit that they don’t have the answer.

I’ve made a lot of podcasts over the past seven years! You can check them out here. Two shows I produced won Signal Awards this year: Torched and Shattering GleamAnother was nominated for a Webby. I have not yet received any tangible evidence of these awards (and don’t believe I ever will) but sharing it here, with you, feels pretty good. Right now I am a producer at Gilded Audio where I work with clients like Spotify, The New York Times (T Brand Studio) and FilmNation. Before that, I worked at SiriusXM making podcasts about music. And before that I attended the national garbage conference in Las Vegas, drove formerly incarcerated women to work and gave tours of the US Capitol where I unwittingly lied to tourists - all in a professional capacity!

When I’m not toiling away in ProTools to make the perfect show, you’ll likely find me making art. I am a printmaker, poet, photographer and I’m addicted to sewing. I also spend my free time indulging my archival tendencies - I have painstakingly scanned and stored all of my family’s film slides and photo negatives. I soon hope to undertake another archival project: uploading my artwork so I can share it here! In the meantime, you can check out my photography and poetry on my blog halfframes.com.

Here is a non-exhaustive list of other things I really like: astronomy, music videos, my cat’s extra toes, embracing the delusion that I’ll  learn how to play a new instrument (RIP my accordion), hoarding books,  surfing very small waves, sleeping with the windows open a bit, my growing collection of nee-dohs and moss.

I live in Brooklyn with my partner, Will and our cat, Moxie. Will recently told me I have “It” “star-power” “personality” but I’ll let you decide for yourself.
